Tea comes from the newest leaves of a small shrub, Thea Sinensis, a member of the Camellia family. Green, Black and Formosa Oolong are all teas from the same shrub. The difference is in the handling after picking, as well as regional variations. Green tea is not fermented, Formosa Oolong is partially fermented and black tea is a fully fermented (oxidised) tea.
Rooibos (red bush) tea, although strictly not a tea, grows exclusively in the Cedarberg Mountains in South Africa due to specific climatic requirements. There are many regional differences in the flavour of black teas, so that a subtle tea such as Ceylon is in distinct contrast to the more robust slightly smokey Keemun. This similarly occurs with the variety of green teas available, so a Gunpowder Green has a different flavour and 'cut' to that of a Chun Mee green tea.
